Dr. Rookis earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1988. Continuing her training, Dr. Rookis served her general surgery internship at Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham and her residencies in urology, anesthesiology, and general surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Rookis Dr. Rookis has been a partner with Alabama Urology Associates since 1995. She is also an investigator for Alabama Research Center, LLC, and has been involved with numerous research projects including those on diabetes, urinary tract infections, erectile dysfunction, and prostate cancer. Dr. Rookis is certified in Urology by the American Board of Urology. She is currently affiliated with Brookwood Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, HealthSouth Medical Center and Montclair Baptist Medical Center.
