W. Glen Wells Jr., M.D., FACS Dr. Wells completed his undergraduate education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University, School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1972. He completed further training as an intern at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco and as a urology resident at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Wells also served as preceptor for urology residents at Darnall Army Hospital in Fort Hood, TX.Dr. Wells In addition to being a partner of Alabama Urology Associates, Dr. Wells is medical director and principal investigator for Alabama Research Center, LLC, in Birmingham. His extensive research projects include those on prostate cancer, urinary tract infections, and incontinence. Also, Dr. Wells is a published author in many professional publications. Dr. Wells is certified in Urology by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He maintains membership with several national and local professional organizations including the American Urological Association and the Birmingham Urological Club. Dr. Wells is currently affiliated with Brookwood Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, HealthSouth Medical Center and Montclair Baptist Medical Center.
